Answers to Common Questions

Return Policy - Porter Electronics Offers a 3-day return option(This option allows for return due to change of mind).  A re-stocking fee may apply.  After that we offer a 90 day exchange warranty on all our items(Any product found to be faulty will be replaced).  For returns, please initiate a return request from our "Contact Us" Link on our website.   Please Note: Returned items must arrive in same condition as received and include the Porter Electronics security sticker.   Once an item is returned back to us, and is verified to be the original item we sent out, a refund will be issued minus shipping costs.   If we deem an item returned to not be authentic Porter Electronics equipment, or has been tampered with, no refund will be issued.

90 Day Warranty - Porter Electronics offers a 90 day exchange warranty on all items purchased. If you have any trouble with your purchase for any reason, you have 90 days from the date of delivery to request an RMA (Request Merchandise Authorization).   Once an RMA has been requested, a replacement will be provided at no cost to you along with a return label for the non-working item. 

Does Porter Electronics Accept Purchase Orders? Yes, we do accept purchase orders for Public Schools and Government Agencies. Unfortunately, our website does not allow the processing of Purchase Orders so you will need to contact us to process the order.

Do Porters Electronics products come with manufacturer's warranty? Warranties may be limited on some items. Please check our sales literature and your invoice to verify that the warranty is as expected. Most of our items however are used and only include our own 90 day exchange warranty.

Does Porters Electronics offer technical support? Porters Electronics is an electronics reseller and is not equipped to provide technical support and installation assistance. You should seek support from the manufacturer of the product or via newsgroups when manufacturer support is not available. You will find links to several manufacturers' support pages on our web site. There are also several web sites devoted exclusively to providing the latest hardware information and drivers. We recommend that you consult these sites and obtain the most recent software for your hardware devices.

Do I have to register with Porter Electronics to be able to place an order? No. It's not mandatory. To process your order we need your shipping and billing information. You can type it each time you want to place your order. But if you register with Porters Electronics when you place order you need only provide us your Customer ID and Password.

Do we ship internationally? We only ship to US and Canada locations at this time.

How do I cancel an order You may request a cancellation of your order, if your order has not already been processed and shipped. To do that, please contact us.

What do I do if an item is received damaged? If the item appears to have obvious damage by carrier (UPS/FedEx), immediately tell the driver you do not want to receive this package or call UPS (1-800-PICK-UPS) or FedEx (1-800-GO-FEDEX) to submit a damaged shipment claim. If a package looks suspiciously damaged, you can tell the driver to wait and open it to make sure the contents are not damaged. After viewing the contents of the package and finding them to be damaged, refuse the damaged package(s). Make sure the driver files the damage claim. Obtain a reference number from carrier (UPS or FedEx).
