How Does Porter Electronics Refurbish Used Electronics? - We have been in the electronics repair business for over 20 years.  Our repair/service and refurbishing consists of belts, gears, capacitors and motor replacements.  Many of the moving parts inside the units get dry and need re-lubing and inspection.  Porter Electronics takes care of all of this for you.   We have been working on these specific electronics for so long that we are familiar with what parts fail the most, and make sure those items are refreshed before shipping to you.

Return Policy - Porter Electronics Offers a 7-day return option(This option allows for return due to change of mind).  We do offer a 90 day exchange warranty on all our items(Any product found to be faulty will be replaced).  All returns must include a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#). Without this number, we cannot accept the merchandise back to our warehouse. In order to get an RMA number you must request one through our "Contact Us" Link on our website.    Please Note: Returned items must arrive in same condition as received and include the Porter Electronics security sticker as well as have correct serial number.  All shipping related expenses for returns are paid for by the customer. You may choose whichever carrier you prefer as long as they can provide a tracking number.   Once an item is returned back to us, and is verified to be the original item we sent out, a refund will be issued minus shipping costs.  If we deem an item returned to not be authentic Porter Electronics equipment, or has been tampered with, no refund will be issued.

90 Day Warranty - Porter Electronics offers a 90 day exchange warranty on all items purchased. If you have any trouble with your purchase for any reason, you have 90 days from the date of delivery to request an RMA (Request Merchandise Authorization).   Once an RMA has been requested, a replacement will be provided at no cost to you along with a return label for the non-working item.

Extended Warranty -  For those who purchase the 1-Year extended warranty - Your 1 Year Warranty will cover your Porter Electronics purchase against damage or failure that may result from normal use.  Warranty does not cover accidental or intentional damage caused by the user or their environment.  Should you need to use your warranty, simply:
1) Contact us to report warranty claim
2) Send us the non-working unit (you cover shipping to us)
3) We will repair or replace with a comparable unit (we cover shipping back you)

Total turnaround time is less than 2 weeks.
The only thing we don’t cover is intentional damage.
If you buy more than one product you must get 1 Warranty per item.

Would Porter Electronics purchase used electronics from me? No, unfortunately due to the logistics as well as constantly changing demands on products, we do not purchase products from individuals

Does Porter Electronics Accept Purchase Orders? Yes, we do accept purchase orders for Public Schools and Government Agencies. Unfortunately, our website does not allow the processing of Purchase Orders so you will need to contact us to process the order.

Do Porters Electronics products come with manufacturer's warranty? Warranties may be limited on some items. Please check our sales literature and your invoice to verify that the warranty is as expected. Most of our items however are used and only include our own 90 day exchange warranty.

Does Porters Electronics offer technical support? Yes, we do offer product support on the items we sell.

Do I have to register with Porter Electronics to be able to place an order? No. It's not mandatory. To process your order we need your shipping and billing information. You can type it each time you want to place your order. But if you register with Porters Electronics when you place order you need only provide us your Customer ID and Password.

Do we ship internationally? We only ship to US and Canada locations at this time.

How do I cancel an order You may request a cancellation of your order, if your order has not already been processed and shipped. To do that, please contact us.

What do I do if an item is received damaged? All defective products may be exchanged within 90 days from delivery date for a replacement or item can be returned for refund within 7 days of delivery date. Unfortunately, after 90 days from delivery date, we will not accept a product for replacement regardless of circumstance unless a 1-year extended warranty was purchased.  Your replacement will be processed via ground delivery only, unless customer chooses to pay for a faster shipping method.
